Dr. Frank Agullo

Southwest Plastic Surgery is an AAAASF-accredited plastic surgery practice in El Paso, Texas, led by Frank Agullo, MD, FACS, a double board-certified plastic surgeon known globally as Dr. WorldWide. The practice serves patients from throughout the United States, with more than 80% of patients traveling from outside El Paso. Travel planning and recovery coordination are handled in-house so out-of-town patients can focus entirely on their care.

Dr. Agullo is certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He earned his medical degree from Universidad Anahuac in Mexico City, completed his general surgery residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC), and pursued fellowship training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He currently serves as Clinical Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at TTUHSC, Paul L. Foster School of Medicine, and as Affiliate Professor at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP).

The practice is built around a philosophy of preservation: working with the body’s existing anatomy to achieve results that look and feel natural over time. Dr. Agullo has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor for eleven consecutive years (2014 through 2026), inducted into the Texas Super Doctors Hall of Fame in 2025, and named Best Plastic Surgeon in El Paso for thirteen consecutive years. He received the Aesthetic Everything Top Plastic Surgeon award in 2026. Dr. Agullo served as Founding Vice President and later President of the World Association of Gluteal Surgeons (WAGS), contributing to international safety standards in gluteal fat grafting. He has authored peer-reviewed publications, presented at national and international conferences, and participated in surgical missions abroad.
