August is on the board at our Med Spa, and my team built three specials this month, Renew, Restore, Revive, running at both our Eastside office on George Dieter and our Westside office on Silver Springs, all month long.

Here is the thing I noticed putting this board together. Two of the three specials go after the exact same problem, the tired, puffy, worn-out look August gives your eyes by this point in the summer, and they go after it from two completely different directions. The third one is about getting ahead of your own hair growth cycle before the season is over. Let me walk you through all three the way I would across my desk.

Renew. Laser Hair Removal, 15% Off a Bikini and Underarms Package.

I say this every August. It is the smart month to start laser hair removal, and almost nobody thinks of it that way.

Here is the mechanism in plain English. The laser is tuned to a wavelength that melanin, the pigment inside your hair, soaks up efficiently. That heats the follicle from the inside, and the heat damages it enough that what grows back is finer, sparser, and eventually stops showing up in a meaningful number of those follicles for good.

What catches people off guard is the timing. Your hair does not all grow on the same schedule. Every follicle cycles through its own active growth phase and its own resting phase, and the laser only does its job on a follicle that happens to be actively growing right then. That is the entire reason this comes as a series instead of a single visit. You need several sessions, spread a few weeks apart, to catch every follicle somewhere in its growing phase.

Bikini and underarms is a smart starting package for exactly that reason. Both areas cycle fast, both respond well, and bundling them beats booking each one separately.

One thing I tell every laser hair removal patient, no exceptions. Skin tone changes the settings. More melanin in the skin itself, not just the hair, changes the risk of burns or pigment changes and changes what settings are safe to use. That call belongs to trained staff working under real physician oversight, not a one-size setting for whoever walks in the door.

Restore. Morpheus8 Under Eye, $800 for a Package of Three.

Morpheus8 has been part of my Med Spa for a while now, mostly for tightening skin on the body. The under-eye version is a more precise use of the same device, and it is the first thing I reach for when the problem is the skin itself, not lost volume.

Here is the distinction I spend the most time explaining, because the two problems look almost the same in a mirror and need completely different fixes. Tired under-eyes can come from volume loss, fat that has thinned or shifted with age, which shows up as a hollow or a shadow. Or they can come from the skin, crepey texture, mild sag, fine lines that have nothing to do with volume and everything to do with the collagen underneath thinning out. Morpheus8 does not put volume back. If your problem is a real hollow, I will tell you Morpheus8 is the wrong tool for it. What it does very well is the second problem, the skin itself.

Mechanically, the device sends radiofrequency energy through a grid of very fine, insulated needles placed just under the skin surface. The needling on its own kicks off a healing response. The RF energy adds precise, controlled heat at that depth, which remodels collagen and tightens the tissue from underneath, no incision, no touching the surface. Around the eye specifically, that means treating crepiness and mild laxity in a spot too delicate for most other energy devices.

Package of three, and there is a real reason for that structure. Collagen remodeling is not instant. On the body, where I have used this device for years, patients see part of the result right away and then watch it keep improving for about two months as new collagen forms, and under the eye the timeline runs about the same. We numb the area first with a topical anesthetic, downtime is minimal, and most patients see some mild redness or sensitivity for a few days rather than anything that keeps them off work. One session softens things a little. Three sessions is what actually changes what you see in the mirror.

Revive. EZ Gel, 20% Off Per Session.

If you have read my writing before, you know I have covered PRP and PRF, platelet-rich plasma and platelet-rich fibrin, both made from a patient’s own blood, in the context of microneedling and the vampire facial. EZ Gel is the next step down that same road, and it happens to go after the same tired-eye problem as the Morpheus8 special above, just from the opposite direction.

It starts the way PRF always starts. A blood draw, spun down to isolate the platelet-rich fibrin and, for EZ Gel specifically, albumin from that same sample. What comes out is a gel, entirely your own material, loaded with growth factors and proteins that tell your body to lay down new collagen wherever it goes. The most common spots for it are exactly where volume and skin quality both fade first: under the eyes, around the mouth, and the temples.

That is what makes it a pair with Morpheus8 instead of a competitor to it. Morpheus8 remodels the collagen scaffold that is already there. EZ Gel adds a small amount of your own material to build new tissue where it has thinned. One is about quality, the other edges toward volume, and both come from your own biology instead of a syringe of something synthetic.

Same patience rule applies here as with any biostimulator. The result builds gradually over the weeks after each session as your own collagen response develops, and a maintenance session once or twice a year keeps it going. Nobody walks out looking different that same afternoon, and if a med spa tells you otherwise, ask what is actually in the syringe.

June is on the board at our Med Spa, and my team built three specials around one idea. Renew. Restore. Revive. One per word. All three running at our Eastside office on George Dieter and our Westside office on Silver Springs, all month.

Here is the contrarian thing I want to say about June, because it shapes how I read these three. Most people treat the start of summer as the season for a quick glow before an event. I treat it as the opposite. June is the right month to start the slow work, the treatments that build something real across the rest of the summer, so your skin is better in September than it was in May. Two of the three specials on this board do exactly that, and the third one protects the result. Let me walk you through who each one is for.

Renew. The Sculptra package, three vials, $1,725.

I say all the time that fillers are a tax. So pay attention to the fact that the special I am most enthusiastic about on this board involves a syringe and is not a filler.

Sculptra is a collagen biostimulator. The active ingredient is poly-L-lactic acid. It does not work the way a hyaluronic acid filler works. A regular filler sits under your skin and takes up space on day one, which is why you walk out looking full and why you have to keep buying it as your body breaks it down. Sculptra does almost nothing you can see on day one. What it does is signal your own body to build new collagen over the following weeks and months. The volume that shows up is your own tissue, on your own scaffold.

That is the entire reason I like it. One product rents you volume. The other helps you grow your own. For the right patient, that is not a small difference. It is the whole game.

The package is three vials at $1,725, and the reason it is sold as a package is that Sculptra is a series, not a one-and-done. Most patients restoring overall facial volume do best spreading the vials across more than one visit, a few weeks apart, so the collagen builds in layers and the change looks gradual instead of sudden. Lock in the package and you commit to the full protocol at a real discount, instead of paying vial by vial and quitting halfway, which is the most common way I see people waste money on this product.

Two honest cautions, the same ones I give across the desk.

This is slow on purpose. There is very little to see the day of your appointment. The real change shows up around eight to twelve weeks and keeps refining after that. If you need to look different for something two weeks away, Sculptra is the wrong tool and I will tell you so to your face. Start in June, peak in the fall. That is the trade, and it is a good one.

Technique is everything with this product. It has to be mixed correctly, given time to sit, and placed in the right plane by someone who actually understands biostimulators, or you can end up with nodules instead of a result. That is exactly why this runs under my supervision and not at a strip-mall injectables counter.

Restore. Microneedling with PRP/PRF, $1,500.

Years ago I wrote about vampire facials, and that post is still one of the most-read things I have ever put online. This special is the grown-up, clinical version of that same idea.

Here is how it works, in plain English. We draw a little of your own blood and spin it in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets and the growth factors they carry. That concentrate is your PRP, platelet-rich plasma. Or we prepare PRF, platelet-rich fibrin, the newer version that releases those growth factors more slowly and over a longer stretch of time. Then we use a microneedling device to create thousands of tiny channels in the skin and drive your own concentrated growth factors down into them.

The needling alone kicks off a healing and collagen response. The growth factors pour fuel on it. Over a series you get better texture, pores that look smaller, softened fine lines, and a glow that is actual new collagen, not just a temporary flush.

Three reasons I like this one for June. It is your own biology, so nothing foreign goes in. It pairs beautifully with Sculptra, because one is working on the surface while the other rebuilds deep collagen, and plenty of patients do both. And the $1,500 price is built around a series, because one session is a nice afternoon and a series is what actually changes the skin.

The non-negotiable, and June makes it louder. Freshly needled skin that goes out into an El Paso summer sun the next day is asking for a pigment problem. Sunscreen and shade between sessions are mandatory on this one. No exceptions.

Revive. A complimentary gift with the purchase of three skincare products.

This is the quiet special on the board, and the one I most want patients to actually take.

The deal is simple. Buy three medical-grade skincare products and the gift comes with it. The reason I am willing to put my name on a skincare promotion at all is that skincare is the foundation under everything else on this list, and it is the part people skip.

You can biostimulate collagen with Sculptra and resurface with microneedling, then quietly undo a chunk of it by washing your face with whatever was on sale and skipping sunscreen. Medical-grade skincare is not the drugstore product with a nicer label and a worse price. It is higher real concentrations of the ingredients that do the work, a true retinoid, a real vitamin C, a real medical sunscreen, made to get through the skin barrier instead of sitting on top of it.

Three products, chosen for your skin, used every day, is the cheapest anti-aging on this whole board. The gift is just the nudge to finally build the routine.

May is on the board at our Med Spa, and my team built three specials around the same idea. Renew. Restore. Revive. One per word. All three running at our Eastside office on George Dieter and our Westside office on Silver Springs, all month.

I want to spend a few minutes telling you who each one is for, because they are not interchangeable, and the most useful thing I can do for somebody scrolling our practice site this week is help her figure out which of the three is actually meant for her.

Renew. Laser tattoo removal at 20 percent off per session.

Of the three on the May board, this one is the longest commitment, and I want patients to hear that part of it before they hear the discount.

Tattoo removal is never one appointment. It is a course. Six to ten sessions on most tattoos, six to eight weeks between each one. Most patients hate hearing that, and I do not blame them. The reason for the spacing is not a sales tactic. It is the physiology. The laser fragments the ink. Your own immune system carries the broken pigment away. Stack the sessions too tight and the skin pays for it. Space them right and the tattoo lifts cleanly.

The 20 percent applies per session. So a patient who locks in the full course in May rides the discount for the whole run. On a sleeve that adds up to hundreds of dollars. On a back piece, more. If you have been postponing tattoo removal because of the price, this is the month.

A few honest notes on candidacy. Black ink and dark blue ink are easy. Reds and warm yellows take more sessions. Cosmetic eyebrow tattoos and amateur ink are usually quick. Old, multi-layered professional work is the long road. We will tell every patient at the consult what a realistic course looks like for the specific tattoo on the specific skin in front of us. If a clinic anywhere is promising you three-and-done on a real tattoo, walk out.

Two things I am rigid on. One. Sun avoidance between sessions. Sunscreen every day on the treated area for the entire course. The patient who hits the laser, then goes to the pool, then comes back six weeks later asking why her skin looks unhappy is a story I have watched more times than I want to admit. Two. Respect the spacing schedule. Compressing the timeline does not get the tattoo off faster. It gets the skin angry.

Restore. The Mother’s Day Radiance Facial, $125.

I am picky about facials. Most facials are not medical. They are pleasant. Skin looks slightly better for forty-eight hours and then nothing has actually changed.

The Mother’s Day Radiance Facial my team built for May is structured differently. It is medical-grade exfoliation, deep cleansing, and active serums chosen by our aesthetician based on what your skin is doing the day of the appointment. It is not a fixed protocol. It is a treatment facial that adjusts to the patient.

At $125, this is one of the easier yes’s I can give a patient.

I am seeing three different people book this one.

A daughter buying for her mom. The card prints cleanly. The mother walks out with skin care she would not have bought for herself. Best $125 you can put on a Mother’s Day card and we both know it.

A patient buying for herself, no apology, no permission. A forty-something or fifty-something woman who decides on a quiet Tuesday to drop $125 on her own face. I see this more every year and I approve of every one of those bookings.

A pre-event patient. Wedding next month. Reunion. A photographed thing on the calendar somewhere. The window is twelve to fourteen days before the event. Far enough that any treatment redness has settled. Close enough that the glow is still on the skin in the photographs. I am rigid about that timing.

What this facial is not. Not a chemical peel. Not a laser. It will not undo a decade of sun damage in a single afternoon, and any clinic that pretends otherwise is selling you a story. It is the maintenance layer of a real skin program. Used as such, it earns its $125.

Revive. The Mother’s Day Refresh, $3,650.

This is the special on the May board worth reading carefully, because the structure of the package is the part that makes it interesting.

A standard injectable package is sold by the syringe. One syringe of this. Twenty units of that. Same numbers on every face that walks in the door. Convenient for billing. Not great for outcomes. Faces are not standardized.

The Refresh is built the other way around.

The package combines dermal filler with an upper-face neuromodulator, the wrinkle relaxer used in the forehead, between the brows, and around the crow’s feet. The phrase the flyer uses is “nurses’ discretion.” That phrase is the whole point.

What it means is this. My injecting nurse has the budget, in the room, to spend product where the face actually needs it. If the upper face is dominant, the toxin moves there. If the cheekbones are flat, the filler concentrates in the malar area. If the lower face is intact and your real complaint is fine perioral lines, the package goes there. The nurse is looking at the whole face and allocating accordingly. Not counting units off a price list.

This is how I want injectables done.

I should also make my standard speech about filler.

Filler is a tax. A facelift is an investment. I keep saying that line because it keeps being true. The patient who has been getting filler every six months for ten years is the patient who often cannot tell where her face ended and where the filler began. The Refresh, used correctly, is the right kind of filler appointment, balanced, not run on a quota. But it does not replace a face that has structurally changed. If your face has dropped, the conversation needs to be a surgical one with me, not another injectable package. My team will route you to that consult before they will sell you the Refresh under the wrong premise. That is not bad for business. That is how a real practice operates.

Two cautions I want every Refresh patient to walk in with.

A first-time injectable patient should know that the result is a quieter, more rested version of the same face. Not a different face. Patients who confuse those two outcomes are the patients who are unhappy at follow-up regardless of how technically clean the work was.

A patient with a face that has changed materially in the last decade should book a surgical consult with me before booking the Refresh. We can use the package after surgery, not in place of it.
