The September board is up at the Med Spa. I sat down with my team last week to walk through what we picked and why.
My rule for these monthly promotions is simple. Things on the board that people actually ask for. Price points that make sense. Treatments we love using because they deliver real results.
Three specials this month, Renew, Restore, Revive, running all month at both offices, our Eastside on George Dieter and our Westside on Silver Springs.
Here is what I love about the September board. Each of these treatments does something specific and worth understanding. Tattoo removal clears old ink cleanly. Skinvive transforms cheek skin quality. Morpheus firms and refines the face and neck.
Let me walk you through all three the way I do across my desk.
Renew. PicoSure Tattoo Removal, 20% Off Per Session.
The most helpful thing I can tell a tattoo removal patient is that this is a beautifully engineered process, and it rewards a full course. A tattoo lives in the dermis, the deeper layer of your skin, and it stays for life because the ink particles are large enough to remain in place indefinitely.
The platform we use is the PicoSure, by Cynosure. It is a picosecond laser, meaning it fires a pulse that lasts a trillionth of a second. Patients ask for it by name, and there is a reason. PicoSure clears ink with a photomechanical pressure wave, which shatters ink into smaller fragments, keeps collateral heat tightly controlled, and covers a broad range of ink colors, including the blues and greens patients most want cleared. In plain English: an efficient course of sessions in many cases, and a wide range of tattoos we can finish beautifully.
Once the PicoSure has done its work, the fragments are small enough for your body’s cleanup cells to carry away through your lymphatic system. That happens in the weeks between visits, and it is why tattoo removal is sold per session and spaced out over months so your body can finish clearing between visits.
A realistic course is six to twelve sessions, spaced six to eight weeks apart. Every tattoo gets settings tailored to its ink. Older tattoos often clear faster than fresh ones. And skin tone matters because settings are customized for higher melanin skin, so this is a real conversation about candidate selection in Fitzpatrick IV to VI skin, and we love having it.
The pricing question is the one patients ask first. It depends on the size of the tattoo and how many sessions you need. Every tattoo is priced to fit its size and complexity. The September promotion takes 20% off whatever the per-session price is for your specific tattoo, and single sessions qualify. If the tattoo matters enough to remove properly, plan on a several-month commitment and enjoy the fade between visits.
Restore. Skinvive, $550 Per Session.
This is the special I love describing in consultation because it is genuinely new territory in the injectable space.
One syringe of Skinvive, one session, $550. That is the September deal in the plainest possible terms. One syringe covers both cheeks.
Skinvive is a modified hyaluronic acid product from Allergan, the same company behind the Juvederm family. It is formulated as microdroplets that distribute across the mid-cheek and hydrate the skin itself from within. It is FDA-cleared specifically for cheek skin smoothness in adults, and the result is a beautiful glow and a softening of surface texture.
The patients who love Skinvive are the ones whose cheek skin reads dull, especially after a hot El Paso summer has pulled the hydration out of everything. It delivers a hydrated, luminous look across the whole mid-cheek so your skin looks like you have slept for a week.
Most patients come back three to six months later for a maintenance treatment as the product integrates and turns over. Skinvive layers beautifully with Morpheus8, a good retinoid, and daily sunscreen. Everything on that list works together.
Revive. Morpheus Face and Neck, $1,000 Per Session.
Morpheus8 has been in my practice for years and I have mostly written about it in the context of the body, tightening flanks and abdomens after liposuction. The face and neck protocol is the same device pointed at a much more delicate area, and it is one of the treatments I have personally had done on my own face.
The September price is $1,000 for one single session, and single sessions qualify at the promo price. A full course typically runs two to three sessions. If you book the full course, you pay per session and stack them.
Here is the mechanism. Morpheus8 combines two things that have each been used on their own for decades. It pushes a controlled grid of very fine, insulated microneedles just under the surface of the skin. And it sends radiofrequency energy through those needles to deposit precise, controlled heat at a specific depth in the dermis. The needling on its own starts a wound-healing response. The radiofrequency energy on top of that heats the collagen scaffold enough to remodel it, all non-surgically, leaving the skin surface intact. Over the following weeks, your body lays down new, better-organized collagen and elastin in the treated depth.
The face and neck protocol covers the jawline, mid-cheek, and platysma-heavy neck, exactly the zone where crepiness and mild laxity show up first in the mid-30s and start dominating the mirror in the 40s. Morpheus works on the skin envelope and the collagen scaffold underneath it. When your goal is a real quality upgrade for the face and neck skin, Morpheus is a workhorse.
Two to three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart is a typical course. We numb the area with a topical anesthetic first, downtime is roughly two to three days of redness and mild swelling, and the result keeps improving for two to three months after the last session as new collagen matures. One maintenance session a year holds the result once you get where you want to be.
